Yes the trails are open! Come out and ride!

All events will be held at the Equestrian Staging Area.  Just follow the signs from the park entrance.  Not a SHTRA member? Join up over the weekend. Membership forms are available at the Pavilion. This will be your only chance to camp at Sleepy Hollow with your horse.  Come ride with us!

Spring Work Bee

April 20 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Clean up winter debris in the staging area. Volunteers needed to rake leaves, tidy the sandpit, trim picket line areas, clean culverts—weather permitting, and do trail work to clean up downed trees and drain puddles.  Volunteers can earn camping credit. Lunch at 1 pm. Does anyone want to help the Lunch Lady and assist with lunch? Any amount of help is appreciated. Contact Marsha 989-277-8544

Join us for a weekend of fun, food, friends, and fantastic trail rides. Poker Ride on Saturday. Saturday night potluck. Group campfire every night. MHDVA – cart driving will be on the South Loop.

Rustic camping is available on a first-come-first-served basis. $20/night

Labor Day Weekend Camp Over

August 30 - September 2

Avoid the holiday weekend traffic and enjoy a relaxing weekend camping with your horse.Friday: Register your campsite 5-7pm,  Saturday: Golden Horseshoe Poker Run, Potluck 6pm with Hot Dogs and Sloppy Joes, and group campfire. Sunday: Root Beer floats 3-5pm, SHTRA Apparel Sales, and group campfire.

Camping in the Horseman’s Staging Area is $20/night.

Come, and explore an area of the park you have never seen before. We’ll have special access to ride certain hiking trails that are usually closed to equestrians, a phantom poker ride, potluck, and group campfire.
