ICHABOD CRANE DAYS

Ichabod Crane Days weekend was a fun event celebrated throughout the entire park. We started on Friday night with a Chili Cook-off. Saturday morning the Draft Horse teams and wagons come in as RV campers anxiously await the opportunity to ride in a horse-drawn wagons. SHTRA members donned their costumes and headed to the beach parking lot to host a variety of fun kid games organized by the Karsten Family. Pumpkin bowling, spider toss, make your own slimy goop, penny dig and horse painting were some of the games available to the public and RV campers. There was a campsite decorating contest for those camping in the staging area that weekend. Sunday there was a Halloween-themed Poker Run guaranteed to be sweet, and spooky with a lot of fun mixed in.

“Witch” Marsha Putnam paints whiskers on a young attendee. Attendees had a choice of whiskers, glitter or blood.
